Minds in Bloom ARTISTIC DESIGN COMPETITION
EventFundraiser

Our vision is to foster an understanding and supportive community by raising awareness of mood disorders and providing essential support. We strive to be a center of excellence for grassroots community mental health within an open yet confidential atmosphere.
In line with this vision, we have partnered with Artbeat Studio and Manitoba’s artistic community to deliver a one-of-a-kind event: Minds in Bloom. This initiative, MDAM’s first fundraising event since the pandemic, will bring together leaders in the mental health field to shine a light on the importance of ending the stigma surrounding mental health.
The Artistic Design Competition portion of this event brings together Manitoba artists to highlight the power of creative expression in mental well-being. We aim to have 30 Manitoban artists showcasing their work, ultimately raising funds for MDAM’s youth mental health program.
What “Minds in Bloom” Represents
Minds in Bloom is more than an artistic design competition—it is a space for open, honest conversations about mental health. This event unites key decision-makers in the mental health field to explore how we can work together to strengthen mental health services. It is about breaking the stigma that has long surrounded mood disorders and mental health discussions.
Art plays a crucial role in navigating one’s mental well-being. Creative expression can be a powerful tool for healing, self-reflection, and resilience. Minds in Bloom, will highlight Manitobans who use art as part of their wellness journey, demonstrating how creativity can be an incredible catalyst for personal growth and healing.
