Minds in Bloom
EventFundraiser

Our vision is to foster an understanding and supportive community by raising awareness of mood disorders and providing essential support. We strive to be a center of excellence for grassroots community mental health within an open yet confidential atmosphere.
In line with this vision, we have partnered with Manitoba’s artistic community to deliver a one-of-a-kind event: Minds in Bloom. This initiative, MDAM’s first fundraising event since the pandemic, will bring together leaders in the mental health field to shine a light on the importance of ending the stigma surrounding mental health.
The Artistic Design Competition portion of this event brings together Manitoba artists to highlight the power of creative expression in mental well-being.
With over 30 Manitoban artists showcasing their work, this event aims to raise funds for MDAM’s youth program.
What “Minds in Bloom” Represents
Minds in Bloom is more than an artistic design competition—it is a space for open, honest conversations about mental health. This event unites key decision-makers in the mental health field to explore how we can work together to strengthen mental health services. It is about breaking the stigma that has long surrounded mood disorders and mental health discussions.
Art plays a crucial role in navigating one’s mental well-being. Creative expression can be a powerful tool for healing, self-reflection, and resilience. Minds in Bloom, will highlight Manitobans who use art as part of their wellness journey, demonstrating how creativity can be an incredible catalyst for personal growth and healing. MDAM has partnered with Artbeat Studio to host an Artistic Design competition in tandem with this event. Please see below for more details.

Event Concept
Minds in Bloom is a fundraising luncheon hosted by MDAM, bringing together Manitobans who care about mental health while showcasing the transformative power of art. The artwork of over 30 Manitoban artists will be displayed and auctioned off, with all proceeds supporting MDAM’s youth program, specifically M.A.D. Camp.
A total of four (4) unique Floral Arrangements will be created by local Winnipeg Floral Artists, representing each of our 4 Sponsorship Tiers. Each design will be displayed and raffled, with all proceeds supporting MDAM’s youth programs.
The fundraiser will also feature a Silent Auction event, stay tuned for more details!
