The Adventures Club: A MAD Monday Original

Coming in 2026, MDAM will be running a six-week TTRPG program for youth.
What is a TTRPG? The acronym stands for TableTop Role Playing Game, the most famous of which is Dungeons & Dragons. You may have seen it played on TV shows like Stranger Things or The Big Bang Theory, or maybe you’ve been watching actual plays by Critical Role, Acquisitions Incorporated or Dimension 20. There are TTRPGs with nearly every theme! What they have in common is that there is no win or loss condition and you are not playing against your companions; you work together to accomplish goals (or not to, as the dice dictate), to uncover more about the characters you play, and learn more about the world they inhabit.
Participants will make a character through whom they can explore a world full of wonder and danger guided by their choices and interests. TTRPGs give participants a chance to face social demands and challenges in a safe space where failure or inexperience can be endured and learnt from, while they themselves aren’t feeling exposed.
What is MAD (Music, Art, Dance, and Drama) Mondays?
