MAD Camp 2026
Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba (MDAM), together with the United Way, is excited to bring back our signature youth program — MAD Camp (Music, Art, Dance & Drama) for Summer 2026!
Designed for youth ages 12–17, MAD Camp is a unique 2-week mental wellness-focused day camp that encourages creativity, connection, confidence, and self-expression in a safe and supportive environment.
Camp runs Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and will be offered during the following sessions:
Session Dates
- Session 1: July 6 – 17, 2026
- Session 2: July 20 – 31, 2026
- Session 3: August 10 – 21, 2026
What to Expect at MAD Camp
MAD Camp is built on a holistic mental wellness model that combines creativity, movement, education, and community-building. Campers will have opportunities to explore new interests, build friendships, and develop tools to support their mental well-being.
Healthy snacks and lunches are provided daily.
Activities may include (but are not limited to!):
🎵 Music
Explore instruments, songwriting, rhythm, and music basics in our fully equipped music room with supportive staff and instructors.
🎨 Art
Express yourself creatively through painting, drawing, mixed media, crafts, and more.
💃 Dance
Learn choreography, movement, and dance techniques from experienced instructors while building confidence and having fun.
🎭 Drama
Develop skills in acting, improv, scene work, storytelling, and performance with trained facilitators.
🌳 Field Trips & Community Activities
Enjoy outings and adventures including parks, The Forks, walking tours, and other community experiences.
🧠 Mental Health & Wellness Education
Learn about mental wellness, coping skills, emotional regulation, self-care, and how to support yourself and others.
🥗 Nutrition & Healthy Living
Explore healthy eating, wellness habits, and practical nutrition education in fun and engaging ways.
Final Showcase Event
At the end of each camp session, campers will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and talents during our Final Showcase Event for family and friends!
More Than Just a Camp
MAD Camp is about more than activities — it’s about connection.
Campers build friendships, support systems, confidence, and a sense of belonging while learning tools to help navigate their mental health and well-being.

Please note: MAD Camp is located in the same building as Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba, but in a separate designated space.

Drop-Off Instructions
To access MAD Camp, please use the loading zone area for drop-off.
Once inside the building:
- Locate the elevators
- Go to the 2nd floor
- Walk straight down the hallway
- Turn left at the end of the hallway
- Look for the MDAM logo/sign
