Pam’s Story

I highly recommend including MDAM in your wellness journey, they are a safe space to land during recovery and healing, especially while you're waiting to connect with trained professionals as the next step in your journey. - Pam H.

I started working at MDAM in February 2021 and have had the privilege and the opportunity to work in a number of different supporting and lead roles. More importantly though, working at MDAM has taught me many different tools that make up my current mental health toolbox. Sharing my story navigating bipolar disorder has empowered me to continue to live my ‘life out loud’ as I like to say, in a purposeful and meaningful way that hopefully empowers others to do the same and ends the stigma about talking about mental health. The incredible volunteers at MDAM, many of them with 10+ years of lived or shared experience, offer valuable insight and perspective and have been there for me – holding space and listening – when I needed it the most – too many times to count. I highly recommend including MDAM in your wellness journey, they are a safe space to land during recovery and healing, especially while you’re waiting to connect with trained professionals as the next step in your journey. – Pam H.
